Scarlet Tanager Grid Fleece Pullover
Scarlet Tanager Grid Fleece Pullover
The Grid Fleece Pullover is designed as part of a layering system when paired with our sun hoodies. Wear it as a stand alone insulation layer or under a wind shell.
Fit: they run long in the sleeves and body so you may want to size down a size.
The thumb hole cuffs and double layered hood help to set this grid fleece apart in warmth.
True-To-Trail Print: Inspired by one of Pickles favorite birds.
The home range of the Scarlet Tanager (*Piranga olivacea*) varies depending on the season and habitat quality. During the breeding season, their home range typically spans 5 to 10 acres but can be larger in areas with fewer resources. Males are territorial and defend their breeding areas, which are usually located in mature forests with a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. The range includes both the nesting site and nearby foraging areas, where the birds hunt for insects, fruits, and berries.
Outside of the breeding season, Scarlet Tanagers are migratory and travel in flocks to Central and South America for winter. During migration, their home range expands significantly as they move over large distances. In wintering areas, they are less territorial and may roam over broader regions in search of food. The size of their range is largely determined by food availability and habitat conditions.
